De plane! De plane!
Context
This line is spoken by Tattoo, played by Hervé Villechaize, in the TV show Fantasy Island (1977-84).
If you have a fantasy, you can travel to Fantasy Island, and the mysterious Mr. Roarke, played by Ricardo Montalbán, will grant it.
That's the simple, and somewhat ridiculous, premise of the show Fantasy Island, created by Aaron Spelling in the late 1970s. Fantasies range from tracking Jack the Ripper to hoping your daughter has a fake reality TV show one day.
Whenever a guest arrives on Fantasy Island by plane, Mr. Roarke's diminutive sidekick Tattoo rings a bell and announces in his thick French accent, "De plane! De plane!" And soon, the fantasy begins.
Where you've heard it
You've heard this when a plane is landing, when an insensitive person sees little person, or maybe if an unusually funny flight attendant telling you to "deplane."

Pretentious Factor
If you were to drop this quote at a dinner party, would you get an in-unison "awww" or would everyone roll their eyes and never invite you back? Here it is, on a scale of 1-10.

There's nothing pretentious about de quote, er…the quote.
